C. Haller organizes a Wine and Tourism Chair seminar

The latest seminar of the Wine and Tourism Chair was held on June 13, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in hybrid format and brought together a dozen professionals and researchers.

We were pleased to attend presentations by

  • Assoc. Prof. Jean-Paul Mereaux, Université de Reims, Champagne-Ardenne
    Topic: Sustainable viticulture in Champagne
  • Benjamin Louis, CEO of Sparkling
    Topic: Latest developments and prospects for protecting an AOC and its consumers on the Internet
  • Mathilde Chomlafel, PhD student, Université de Reims, Champagne-Ardenne
    Topic: Maintaining balance within the champagne industry through land management and the possibilities for governing actors
  • Margot Jonckheere, Project Coordinator for Gastronomy, Wine Tourism and Beer Tourism at Alsace Destination Tourisme (ADT), was also on hand to share ADT initiatives on some of these topics.

The seminar also provided an opportunity to take stock of current and future projects:
