Preparing for Departure - EM Strasbourg

Your Departure Abroad in Four Steps

1 • Why go abroad?

  • Build international connections

Going abroad means meeting people from all over the world, students you will probably stay in touch with for the rest of your life, teachers of course, but also professionals in your field of interest, allowing you to start expanding your network!

  • Add value to your profile on the job market

Numerous studies prove it, and we are convinced: immersing yourself abroad allows you to quickly develop the skills sought after by recruiters (independence, adaptability, open-mindedness, etc.). Stand out from other candidates!

  • Improve your language skills

Most of the mobility programs we offer are total immersion: you will use English and/or the language of your host country both in your daily life and during classes, and your level will improve significantly. This will allow you to gain confidence and fluency in these languages.

  • Discover new cultures

Spending several months in a new country is the best way to discover its culture, people, unique characteristics, traditions, landscapes, and language, and to return enriched by all these discoveries!

Surrounded by students from all over the world, you will also learn to adapt your behavior to an intercultural context and to grasp all its subtleties.

  • Reflect and grow on a personal level

Going abroad is also a unique opportunity to get to know yourself better by comparing your values and habits with those of other cultures, which can lead to significant introspection. Immersion abroad is not only a professional asset but also a catalyst for personal growth.

2 • Where to go?

Placement abroad

Find what you are looking for in our network of more than 150 partner universities across five continents. Make your choice based on your career plans, your budget, our partners' areas of excellence, the geographical location, or simply your desires!

The International Relations Office will be there to help you make your choice.
