As part of the Interreg VI Upper Rhine Sustainable Food project, two presentation videos have been produced to illustrate the approaches being taken in France and Switzerland respectively to re-localize food in institutional food services.
They highlight the dynamics underway on both sides of the Rhine:
- In France, the project supports the transition of school canteens toward more local, organic, and plant-based food.
- In Switzerland, it supports the introduction of sustainable products in nursing home food services.
At the heart of the project lies support for small- and medium-sized agrifood businesses and local farms. The aim is to create concrete outlets for these often vulnerable players by facilitating their access to foodservice markets and developing sustainable local food networks.
