Choose the Professional Gap Year
Offered as part of the Bachelor of International Business and the Programme Grande École, the Professional Gap Year gives you the option to spend an extended period immersed in a company, in France or abroad, to deepen your experience and refine your career plans.
A Professional Gap Year is an opportunity to take a step back, clarify your career goals and enhance your academic journey through hands-on experience. You can complete one or two extended internships, for a total duration of 6 to 12 months, in France or abroad. This optional year can be taken after certain years of study within the program.
A Professional Gap Year: A Chance to Accelerate Your Professional Development

This dedicated period of professional exploration helps you refine your choices and confirm your aspirations, enabling you to build a career path that is consistent with and aligned to your ambitions.

Testimonials
“I chose to do a long-term internship, and honestly, it changed everything. Over several months, I developed real skills and gained my supervisor’s trust. I was given increasingly important projects and went from being a trainee who needed guidance to a team member people could rely on. This year helped me grow, gain autonomy and develop professional maturity. It was truly the year I built myself and understood what I wanted to do.”

“I was fortunate to secure a six-month internship last September in the Credit department of Wealth Management at BGL in Luxembourg. […] My internship went very well, and I was lucky enough to have my contract extended on a fixed-term basis, initially until the end of June, and then more recently until the end of August, just before I leave to study abroad. Thanks to my colleagues and supervisors, to whom I am immensely grateful, I will have gained a highly enriching year of professional experience!”

“I completed my first year in the Grande École Programme […] This was followed by a gap year, during which I completed an internship at Olympique de Marseille. I then pursued a dual Master’s degree in Marketing and Event Management through a co-op program, again at Olympique de Marseille, which led to a permanent position as Hospitality & Events Project Manager.”
