Motivational Interview

The motivational interview lasts 25 minutes. It may be conducted in English for English-speaking candidates.

Part 1: The Pitch

Candidates are invited to introduce themselves with a three-minute pitch on the topic “A success or achievement I am proud of.” The introduction is intended to highlight a significant personal or professional accomplishment. After the pitch, the selection panel will ask questions to explore some of the points raised.

This initial exchange is intended to arouse the panel’s interest and give candidates the opportunity to demonstrate how their profile aligns with the EMpowerment philosophy of EM Strasbourg’s Programme Grande École, which is inspired by entrepreneurial practices.

Part 2: Looking Ahead

Candidates must present how they envision their journey in Programme Grande École, using a program mapping document they have completed in advance. This exercise gives candidates an opportunity to share their understanding of the program, their interest in it, and their perspective on the tracks and opportunities available to them. It also helps clarify their expectations and specialization orientations.

The goal is for both the candidate and the panel to leave the interview confident that they have made the right choice for the candidate’s future.

English Oral Exam

The English oral exam lasts 20 minutes.

Candidates prepare a current affairs topic of their choice, present it to the selection panel, and then discuss it with the panel.

No presentation materials may be used for this oral exam.
